While working for a Broadway Producer, I had the pleasure of working with Brandon Smithey and Jessica Penzias. Over the years, we developed a strong bond, which led us to create, Above the Fray Entertainment in 2022. Our mission is to support the development of plays and musicals for the Broadway stage.

 

We are very selective about the shows we invest in, ensuring that each project meets our "Cheese Grater Test." This involves all three of us independently:

 

* Having a genuine passion for the material

* Agreeing on a realistic budget for recoupment

* Believing the show will resonate with theatergoers

In 2025, we were nominated for our first Tony Award "Best Musical Revival" for GYPSY as part of the producing team.

We are currently working on bringing a new musical to Broadway for the 2027 season.
