Everyday the students will be on the water rowing while learning the parts of the boat, rowing commands, crew positions as well as all of their knots.

TUESDAY DAY 1: The morning will be spent meeting with their team mates, being introduced to rowing and knots. The HLSCC CAMS team will join us for the afternoon and will walk our students through the mangrove greenhouse, boardwalk while teaching them them the importance of the mangroves in the BVI.

WEDNESDAY DAY 2: The students will spend half a day with the Royal BVI Yacht Club (Nanny Cay) being introduced to small boat sailing. After lunch the students will head over to Trellis Bay where they will be met by Virgin Island Shipping & Maritime Authority and Land and Sea Power Services. Over the course of the afternoon the students will learn how to perform man overboard drills on VIGILANCE and then learn how to maneuver Boston Whaler Sport vessels.

Based on their swimming abilities students will either be able to try Discover Scuba Diving OR they will take a snorkel lesson with BVI Swim School. SATURDAY DAY 5: After taking their final quiz, race day will begin with the Quiz Bowl! Next will be the knot tying race and after lunch families and friends are invited to join us at the lagoon at HLSCC CAMS to watch the rowing race. The day will conclude with a very informal graduation ceremony.
